Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about saving recipes, dialing in, and brewing with Tazzina.

What is Tazzina?
Tazzina is an iPhone app for home coffee enthusiasts. Save a recipe for every bean and brewer you use, whether that's espresso, pour-over, immersion, or stovetop, get dial-in suggestions from others brewing the same beans, and everything you need for your coffee workflow.
Which brewers does Tazzina support?
All four brewing styles, across 18 brewers, and you pick your exact model so every recipe is tuned to it. Espresso: Espresso Machine. Pour-over: Hario V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex, Origami Dripper, April Brewer, Orea Brewer, Melitta, Fellow Stagg Dripper, Drip Machine, and Hario Switch. Immersion: AeroPress, Clever Dripper, French Press, Cold Brew, and Hario Switch. Stovetop: Moka Pot and Cezve / Ibrik. The Hario Switch appears under both because it brews as a pour-over or an immersion.
Can I save more than one recipe for the same bean?
Yes. Pull a bag as espresso today, brew it on a V60 tomorrow, and dial it on a different grinder next week. Tazzina keeps a separate recipe for every brewer and grinder you pair with a bean, so each one holds its own grind, dose, water, and tasting notes.
How do dial-in suggestions work?
When other people log recipes for the same bean, Tazzina aggregates that data and suggests starting points for grind, ratio, and temperature based on the brewer and grinder you choose. Like asking a friend who already dialed in the same bean.
Can I share recipes and collections?
Yes. Share a recipe as a link and it saves into the other person's library with every setting intact: the brewer, grinder, dose, water, grind, and temperature. Share a collection and they get all of its beans along with your notes, ready to save and brew.
Is Tazzina free?
Yes. Tazzina is completely free to download and use. Every feature is included at no cost.
Which grinders does Tazzina support?
Over 200 models and counting. You select your exact grinder so recipes use your real dial numbers, not an abstract scale.
Does Tazzina have an Apple Watch app?
Yes. A companion Apple Watch app shows your current beans, recipes, and collections, so you can check what to brew without reaching for your phone.
Does Tazzina track bean freshness?
Yes. Add a roast date and Tazzina plots a freshness curve that shows whether your beans are still resting, peaking, or past their best, so you brew each bag at the right time.
Does Tazzina work offline?
Yes. Your beans, recipes, and notes all live on your device, so everything works without a connection. Changes sync to the cloud once you're back online.
