Mad Heads for DIU collaboration. Buying this coffee makes a direct contribution to the "Timur Special Unit" of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine. About the farmer and farm The Nyamyumba washing station in the Rubavu region was built in 2006. It processes around 496 tons of coffee cherries each year. Every farmer working with Nyamyumba owns at least 400 coffee trees, grown on fertile volcanic soils at 1500–2000 masl. Processing: natural Farmers hand-pick the harvest and deliver it to the station. Workers sort out any underripe or damaged cherries. The ripe cherries are spread in thin layers on African beds and sun-dried, turned periodically for even drying.
