About
Pablo Andres Guerrero operates Hacienda El Obraje in Tangua, outside Pasto in Colombia's Nariño department, at 2,200 meters. Initially he trained as an architect before coming back to the generational family farm. Pablo has converted much of the nearly 100-hectare estate into forest reserve, cultivating coffee on roughly 25 hectares. On the farm the daily temperatures swing from 90 degrees at midday to 45 degrees or lower at night, producing dense, compact trees.

FAQ

What grind size should I use for El Obraje?

Grind size depends on your grinder, so there is no single number. Tazzina translates the community grind to your exact grinder, or guides you to it by taste.

How do I dial in El Obraje?

Save a brew for your grinder and brew method, then tell Tazzina how it tasted. It walks you through what to change next, one step at a time.

Can I brew El Obraje on any brew method?

Yes. Tazzina saves each one separately, so every brew method and grinder you pair with El Obraje keeps its own brew, from espresso to pour-over.

What is Tazzina?

Tazzina is a free iPhone and iPad app for coffee. Save a brew for every bean, grinder, and brew method, dial it in with guided steps, and repeat the cups you love.
