Fill the chamber, leaving a little room at the top.

Stir back and forth from the bottom up, not in circles.

Seat the plunger a few millimeters in, lift the brewer off the scale and swirl to level the bed.

Swirl thoroughly to level the bed again.

Press as gently as you can. It takes a bit over a minute.
